Jonathan Owens has witnessed a steady ascent in his career since joining the Cardinals in 2018. Owning 2 more jerseys since then, the Green Bay Packers safety has reportedly fetched himself yet another deal. This time with the Chicago Bears. Now as the early reports begin to make a stir in the community, proud wife Simone Biles couldn’t help but jump in on the excitement.

“So proud of you baby, bear down,” Biles wrote on her Instagram stories, sharing a news piece from ESPN. The 2-time Olympian also further reposted the opponents scheduled for the season ahead against the Bears.

Jonathan Owens will join the Chicago Bears as a defensive back with a deal paying $4.5 million over two years. The Packers safety recorded nine tackles in two games against the Bears last season. He further appeared on all 17 Packers games, scoring his first career touchdown, defending three passes, and recording a sack.

Simone Biles has been with Owens since he played for the Houston Texans -the Olympian’s native- in 2019-22. No matter the colors, the gymnast seems ready to cheer and highlight her love for the NFL star. “Also I just love the city of Chicago,” Biles further revealed in excitement. The opportunity to catch a good hot dog and the travel made easy has added to the Olympian’s thrills who remain in the joyous whirlwind of the news. More so, because the gymnast’s belief in Owens’ rise to heightened fame looks to take its course.

As the most decorated gymnast ever, Simone Biles has attained her share of reckoning fame. The instance has left Owens often being referred to as the gymnast’s husband and Owens hasn’t denied it. The NFL star even admitted that the unforeseen spotlight that came with Biles had been difficult to navigate through. As the celebrated couple has continued to accept and embrace the stance, Biles holds a view that one day, she will be the one having to tread through the spotlight and Owens will command.

“The other day I said, you know what, in a couple of years, nobody is going to call him, Simone Biles’ husband. They’ll call me Jonathan Owens’ wife,” the gymnast remarked in an episode of the Pivot Podcast. The past season, Owens had signed with the Green Bay Packers for a one-year, $1.01 million contract. Following over a million worth of upgrades today, Owens is expected to bring experience, possibly in defense of the Chicago Bears.
