Simone Biles winning the Presidential medal of freedom became a heavily celebrated event. The gymnast is not only one of the greatest to ever grace the sport but is also an important figure in the mental health conversation. She has gone above and beyond her limitations to put forth a strong fight against the taboo that is mental health. Her achievements, both in and out of the arena, cannot be undermined. Hence, the highest civilian honor in the country being awarded to her is an apt tribute.

While the people celebrated the decoration, Jenna Ellis was not happy with the decision. She took to Twitter to express dissatisfaction, but it backfired heavily.

Simone Biles’ fans respond to Jenna’s bizarre reply

Jenna Ellis is a lawyer most famous for working in the legal team of ex-President Donald Trump. She has also served as a litigator in state court cases. Most recently, Jenna has been making rounds in the news for her bizarre take on Simone Biles being awarded the Presidential medal.

The latest in a series of tweets was Jenna’s unfathomable reply to Biles asking who Jenna is.

Ellis wrote, “Sorry Biles, you can’t date me.” The tweet also carried a GIF of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow with the caption, “But you have heard of me.” The Twitter fans had a field day with this tweet while trying to decipher what it meant.

People savagely took shots at Jenna as one person wrote, “This isn’t the serve you thought it was going to be. She gets Olympic medals and you get subpoenas.”

Some fans also did not like the fact that Ellis used Biles’ name disrespectfully and were quick to point it out.

How it all began

Nearly a week ago, the list of 17 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients went public. The list included the names of Simone Biles and USWNT star Megan Rapinoe. While people loved to hear these names, it rubbed Jenna the wrong way, who let her feelings known.

She took to Twitter to call the stars out. The first in a series of exchanged tweets was by Ellis, who said, “Fittingly, Biden awarded his Presidential medals to fellow losers, Biles and Rapinoe.” In response to a fan asking why she said so, Ellis wrote, “Because Biles is a selfish quitter and Rapinoe is a boorish UnAmerican bully. They’re losers, not role models. Biden is making a mockery of everything solemn, like the presidential medal of freedom.” Retweeting a fan who asked why Ellis called Simone a loser, Biles also had something to say. She wrote, “who is Jenna Ellis? Asking for everyone.” The bizarre reply by Ellis came as a response to this tweet.
