What a day to have the US gymnasts leading the scoreboard at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. As Simone Biles earned her sixth World title on October 6, nobody was as proud as her coaches. From guiding her through the tough times to witnessing her Biles II clinch teary-eyed, Cecile and Laurent Landi have done it all. During Simone’s tough journey of battling mental health issues, they have always been through thick and thin. Now another gymnast from team USA turned up to express her gratitude for the coach couple.

Tthe gymnast, who is the youngest member of the US? world team, faced an unfortunate fall that forced her to sit out in the finals. Even after the disappointment she did not miss the chance to take to social media for her coaches on a special day.

Gymnastics starlet has a special update

Joscelyn Roberson, the Texarkana native, mercifully landed at the World Champions Centre, in the Landis’ arms. Not only that, Biles’s biggest fan had her dream-come-true-moment when she started training alongside the great. October 6 is popularly celebrated as National Coaches Day in the US. To celebrate the day, Roberson posted the story on her Instagram with the caption “Happy National Coaches Day” with some red hearts at the tail. The accompanying picture features Simone Biles, and the Landis also.

Her ascent to the peak of the gymnastic world had happened a while ago. After her mother mindfully decided to shift to Texas due to career commitments, her daughter’s future was decided. But lately, things didn’t go as planned. Even though Joscelyn was prepping up for a breathtaking display on the sixth day, her misfortune cost her big.

Joscelyn’s Cheng fall

The youngest member of Team USA, Joscelyn Roberson, had her fate altered before the competition started. Roberson’s agonizing fall after failing to complete her Cheng vault was a devastating moment. Moreover, this was especially hard on her leg, leaving her unable to even stand up to the difficulties of the night. Immediately rushing to the rescue, Laurent carried Roberson to the medic, after assessing the depth of the situation.

Showing support for the gymnast, Inside Gymnastics had posted a special update. ?Joscelyn said she is great. She was feeling all of the emotions after Simone?s floor routine.” Having to sit out for the night, she didn’t stop cheering on her fellow teammates. She said, ?I was crying so many happy tears for all of us!??

Not only for her team, the 17-year-old cried happy tears for Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France, who is also a WCC trainee. Hoping for a quick recovery, the former’s debut Worlds may have crashed, but her Olympic plans are on.
