Gymnastics queen Simone Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens never shy away from expressing their support for each other. Along similar lines, on 29th October, during the Green Bay Packers playoff against the Minnesota Vikings, Biles visited Lambeau Field to bolster the NFL safety’s game.

However, the frozen tundra’s temperature didn’t bode well for the gymnast, as she expressed her concerns regarding the minus mercury levels. She posted about the cold at Lambeau Field and hinted at her distress during her husband’s match. Surprisingly, this led to some responses from some unexpected quarters.

On October 29, Jonathan Owens’ Green Bay Packers locked horns with the Minnesota Vikings. Biles, doing justice to being the biggest cheerleader of Owens, poured in her support from the bleachers. However, the 26-year-old struggled to keep up with the extreme weather conditions of Wisconsin, as the current mercury level read -5 degrees Celsius. Following this, she took to her X handle and penned, “I’m NOT built for cold weather.”

And it is not without reasons. Biles is a native of Houston, Texas, which is counted among the warmer places. Whereas, Green Bay, Wisconsin is on the much colder side. According to World Weather, for the past couple of days, Wisconsin’s temperature was in single digits during the daytime. Whereas nights witnessed mercury plummeting below zero. So much so that there was a near blizzard situation in Lambeau Field during the match between the Packers and Vikings.

On the other hand, during the same period, Houston temperatures were in the tens and twenties. It is no surprise that Biles was left shivering with cold. Interestingly, Biles’ X post drew a surprise comment from someone who is at the moment on the quest to win over glaciers in Austria!

Mikaela Shiffrin, who is currently competing in the Alpine skiing World Cup, showed up in support of Simone Biles stating that cold weather is a no for her as well! The alpine skiing legend, who rules the ice, commented, “Me either.”  This is not the first time that Shiffrin and Biles have interacted. Both have expressed their mutual admiration for each other in the past via interviews and social media posts and vouched that they would be good at playing each other’s sports.

However, this time, it was not Shiffrin alone. Another legend of the same sport offered support to Biles to navigate through this cold spell.

Lindsey Vonn comes to the rescue of Biles

In a recent Threads post, the 7X Olympic medalist sought help from her fans. After she landed at the Lambeau Field for her husband’s game, she realized that the temperature was considerably less. Since wearing a full-sleeved t-shirt while standing in a windy field didn’t help much, she resorted to her social media. Her post read, “what are the best winter jackets?” For a seven-figure earner, missing out on any premium fashion wear is nearly impossible. But, Biles needed some warm jackets this time.

As a reply, pro alpine skier Lindsey Vonn wrote, “My Head ski jackets,” with a link to Gorsuch’s new HEAD ski line. As one of the most celebrated collaborators of Gorsuch, Vonn tactically advertised the brand, while helping Biles out.

Only time will tell whether Simone Biles will take up Vonn’s suggestion. However, at the moment, we can not stop marveling at the efforts of Biles. She is leaving no stone unturned just to support her man. The way she dares the hostile Wisconsin weather only brings forth the commitment she harbors for Jonathan Owens.
