Mykayla Skinner garnered multiple All-American honors before staging a remarkable comeback to win a silver medal in the vault at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, showcasing her enduring dedication and adaptability in the sport. However, the 26-year-old gymnastics icon announced retirement in 2021 and has ever since been enjoying her time with family. Married to Jonas Harmer, Skinner recently welcomed her first child and is currently preparing for the Christmas festivities.

The family welcomed Little Charlotte Jane Harmer on September 21 and can’t get enough of her cuteness. Skinner?s social media is filled with photos of her cute baby, giving fans a sneak peek into their life. In her recent update, the Olympic medalist shared the funny side of being a mother as Christmas festivities start.

As the preparations for Christmas festivities began, Skinner gave a small glimpse into her adorable decorations. The gymnast enjoys spending time with family after retirement. Before transitioning to collegiate gymnastics at the University of Utah, she made a mark as an elite gymnast. Skinner was an alternate for the 2012 Olympic team and secured a gold medal at the 2014 World Championships.

She posted a bunch of stories on her Instagram, sharing the funny side of being a mother while also showing some glimpses of her newborn daughter. Sharing a small video of her preparations, one could see a beautiful Christmas tree. She wrote, ?And so it begins?. In her next story, Skinner shared a photo of her daughter lying down with some child nutrition products beside her.

In another clip, Skinner gave a short tour of her well-decorated room. One can see several Christmas trees, along with a rose-donned dining table. Skinner also shared a funny side of motherhood, of having to take care of the child while preparing for the festivities. However, she is truly enjoying her motherhood while also teasing the possibility of adding another baby to the family.

Skinner probably wants her baby to have the same family life she had in a big family. On similar lines, she recently teased about the possibility of having another child, although not a daughter.

Given the fact that Skinner?s siblings were girls, she knows a thing or two about growing among females. ?I think Jonas has too many girls in his life right now! Should we add a little brother to the family?, Skinner wrote teasing about having a son. Although nothing is confirmed, there is every possibility of that happening and fans would to see that happen.
