Olivia Dunne, who alternates between the real and digital realms, is the talk of the globe this year. The homeschooled gymnast joined LSU’s illustrious roster after discovering her knack for maneuvering at 3. Since the inception of NIL deals for amateur athletes, Dunne has grown a massive fan following on social media platforms. Thus capitalizing on brand deals marketed to her perfect target audience of millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alphas. A key argument favoring the gymnast is her recent inclusion in Forbes’ top 50 social media influencers and her seven-figure net worth.
However, the internet’s scrutiny of athletic or commercial crossroads put her in a difficult position given her gymnastics roots. Critics even questioned her professional career when she declared her future goals. Finding her equilibrium in the midst of it all, she recently opened up about her personal struggles.
