The 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship welcomed the top 8 teams for a final leg on the evening of October 4th. As the cameras were raised and smiles were wide, the gymnasts put on the best of each to stand worthy. Performing at the Antwerps Sportpaleis arena in Belgium, the gymnasts did not only stand to receive a cheer from the present but also from enthusiasts from around the world.

The audience sat on the edge of their seat on the 6th day of the event as gymnasts took a step that intensified with every match. The stance even stood true for the American fans whose team ended top on the qualifier’s night with 171.395. However, giving in to the anticipation and joining the awaiting fans was Simone Biles’s staunch fan and her best friend, Jordan Chiles. On Wednesday, as Simone took to the vault to score a leading one, Jordan couldn’t hold in her excitement as noticed through her Instagram update.

Jordan shares her excitement online with the presiding World Gymnastics event

Jordan Chiles and Simone Biles are known to have been quite the best friends. They are constantly captured sharing encouragement and support for each other. And today as Team USA stood to earn their seventh consecutive win, it was the gymnastics queen’s performance on the watch. Awaiting like the rest, Jordan took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts on the moment. The story showed Jordan Chiles zooming in on the TV as Biles took the ground to perform a final vault. Captioning the story, she wrote, “My nerves are on 1000000000.”;?relating to the many fans on the toes.

Post her vault, Biles accumulated a total of 14.800. Biles’ performance alongside the entire team’s performance led the nation to a win for a seventh consecutive time. The USA Women’s team now is scheduled to head to the 2024 Paris while the gymnasts remain undecided. With an open opportunity, Chiles narrowly missed out on the 2023 Worlds and is speculated to be preparing to head the same way.

Jordan stands tall to attain her dreams

Jordan Chiles as a 12-year-old made her debut in gymnastics at the 2013 American Classic. Winning a bronze in the all-around, Chiles hopped around contesting until she made her international debut a the ?Stuttgart World Cup earning a third. Since then or even before, Chiles knew her way forward. With practice and diligence it was a ?spot for Chiles at the 2020 Olympics; replacing Simone after she suffered twisties. However, blending in, Jordan lent her talent to the team to earn a silver in the most coveted position for sportsmen.

While Jordan has held admirable records from the past, 2023 hasn’t been kind to the gymnast. Jordan initially suffered a stumble and a fall on the beam at the 59th edition of the 2023 Xfinity Championship: spoiling her chances at coming up top. Nonetheless, Jordan knew not to give up. The youngster went ahead to perform at the 2023 U.S. Women’s World Team Selection Event; to secure a place at 2023 Worlds. But scoring a 53.650, Jordan placed 9th, remaining successful in completing the quota.

Despite the disappointment, Jordan hasn’t given up. Though the berth has been qualified for 2024 Paris, spots for the gymnasts remain open. Hoping to emerge on top at the Pam American Games to be held in November, Jordan aims to make her way to the Olympics.
