Simone Biles took control once again, putting her best foot forward in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship. Today was Day 2 of the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship, with 32 women competing over four apparatus. Just as the final standings were released, Gymnastics Now reported “she(Heron) can?t qualify to Paris as an all-arounder” on Twitter(X).

The post further explained, “She qualified as a specialist to Antwerp on all four events, but we confirmed with an official (after seeing @thegymterdotnet?s tweet) that she CAN.” The 19-year-old entered as an apparatus specialist and currently sits 14th with a 50.599. Although she could potentially move up to be one of the 14 eligible all-around at the end of qualifying. Additionally, @thegymterdotnet claims NOC can only gain one Olympic spot with criteria for all-around. The individual all-around qualifiers will be announced on Friday.

After Simone, she was the first gymnast to accomplish Biles I, also known as the double layout with half twist.
