“See Y’all in San Jose”: After Shining Next to Simone Biles at the U.S. Classic, Bestfriend Gymnast Jordan Chiles Makes an Announcement

The US Classics set the headlines on fire with star gymnast Simone Biles’s return. While her comeback took the spotlight, her supportive teammates and iconic gymnasts shined right there with her. Case in point, Jordan Chiles. Chiles has won several medals in the Olympics and World championships and two days ago she participated in the US Classics where her best friend marked her return.

The 22-year-old gymnast has been supportive of  Biles during her struggle with mental health and cheered on her return to the events this year. Chiles is training hard for next year’s Olympics and is participating in the events before that to sharpen her performance. The Olympian recently posted a message on social media that drew the attention of the gymnastic enthusiast.

The Olympian Jordan Chiles shared a message on her Instagram page after the conclusion of US Classics. In the caption she wrote, “And just like that another classic in the books..See y’all in San Jose“. Chiles didn’t win in any event she participated in but made an impact on the audience. She managed a good performance on uneven bars and the balance beams. She came fourth at uneven bars with a 13.9 score and scored 12.8 on the balance beam.

The hype queen was cheered by the crowd at the arena throughout her performances. She acknowledged their love and support after concluding her performance. Chiles announced that she will be back in the US Gymnastics Championship later this month in San Jose, California.

Jordan Chiles is not new to the US Championship. She has participated in the event since 2017 when she won a silver medal in overall performance. Chiles won silver in the vault in 2018 and bronze in 2021 in the same event. She also won bronze in uneven bars and floor exercise in 2022. She has overall bronze medals for the years 2021 and 2022. With Paris Olympics approaching her fans expect her to pull off a formidable performance at this year’s US Championship.

After a disappointing performance in 2018 at US Nationals Jordan Chiles was considering abandoning the gymnastic dream. She was rescued by her friend Simone Biles who convinced her to shift to Texas from Washington. There at Texas World Champion Centre, she came under the training of coaches Cecile and Laurent Landi. After that her performance improved and her career trajectory shot upward.

In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a silver medal in the artistic team event.  In 2021 she won gold in overall, vault, and floor exercise at the Winter Cup. She also won silver in the balance beam at the same event. In the 2022 world championship, she won silver in vault and floor exercise and gold in team performance.

Jordan Chiles is a performing gymnast and with a talent and training partner like Biles by her side, she has the potential to reach the heights in both US Championships and the 2024 Olympics.
