“But still I rise” – A tribute to Simone Biles

Baby Biles certainly knew how to fangirl! From the moment she could walk, she’s been in awe of her gymnast aunt, Simone Biles, and she never missed a chance to show it. After cheering her heart out in Paris, Baby Biles was back at it again, when she was wearing a dress that carried a special message: “But still I rise.” And guess what? Simone had them tattooed on her body.

Baby Biles was front and center when Simone’s “Gold Over America” tour hit Houston. As they entered the Toyota Center, Sammi Biles shared a heartwarming clip on Instagram. In the video, Baby Biles excitedly chanted “TT” when she spotted her aunt on the big screen. Even last year in September, Sammi Biles, shared a video of Baby Biles attempting a “toddler wolf turn” on Instagram, showing off her impressive focus. Despite a small tumble, her mom expressed pride in how Ronni was learning gymnastics without formal lessons, simply by watching and listening to all things gymnastics.

Before turning one, Baby Biles was already showing her passion for gymnastics. Her mom shared a cute moment of Ronni trying to pull herself up on the crib rings, captioning it, “Watching TT and wanting to be like her.” For her first birthday, she received a biography of her aunt Simone and matching leotards, connecting her to the Biles legacy. With her natural passion for gymnastics and early signs of following in Simone Biles’ footsteps, Baby Biles certainly has a bright future ahead.
