However, the entire experience seems to have satisfied Simone so much that she expressed the wish to tie the knot with JO again and again. On her first anniversary of becoming Mrs. Owens officially, the 27-year-old champion relieved the moment wholeheartedly. 

April 22 last year was the courthouse wedding ceremony of Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens before flying to Cabo to perform the rest of the ritual. So, for Simone Biles, the auspicious day holds a distinct place. She let that out through an IG post, commemorating her first wedding anniversary. The 7x Olympic medalist penned, “I wish I could marry you a million more times! I love you so much!” The day was the culmination of a long-cherished relationship that started through a conversation on the dating app, Raya, on the brink of the Pandemic in 2020. 

Over the last one year, the bond between the couple barely showed any indication of weakening. Rather, in front of the big tides, the couple remained resolute, fancied their chances, holding each other’s hands. While being each other’s biggest champions, they have seen tremendous growth professionally alongside strengthening their personal bonds.

A glorious one year for Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens 

In the past year since they crafted their engagement legally, both Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have had their hands on success. Simone announced her return to the gymnastic mat gloriously. On the other hand, Jonathan Owens finished a successful session with the Green Bay Packers with Simone beside her in every possible manner. That brought him a contract with the Chicago Bears with an even more handsome pay package. Amid this, bouts of dark patches were also there.

The couple, Jonathan Owens, in particular, endured an enormous chunk of criticism for his playful comments on Simone Biles. Simone also had her share for her comparison with Caitlin Stark. But on each of those occasions, the couple stood with each other.
