Olivia  ‘Livvy’ Dunne, a senior gymnast for the LSU Tigers, is in Utah for the team’s second meet of the season following an exciting week at the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championship. Arriving at the Maverik Center to play the top-seeded teams of Oklahoma, Utah, and UCLA, Livvy’s journey takes a pleasantly amusing turn as she makes her way through the wintry landscape of West Valley City.

With a social media following of over 15 million, Livvy posted brief videos of her misadventures across Utah on Snapchat. Gondolas over crystal clear waters in Venice or atop snow-capped mountains in Switzerland are probably one of mankind’s most beautifully profound experiences. But Livvy’s version of a gondola trip was high-octane and raucous. She gave her fans a sliver of her vista whilst being jocular.

Are gondolas just a Venice mainstay or an all-encompassing adventure?

Livvy is currently touring Canyons Village in Park City, Utah, with fellow athletes ahead of the competition. The social media sensation first updated her followers to a cable ride that offered an incredible panoramic view of snow-covered mountains. But when she pranked her fans by posting a foggy window with the phrase, “we are stuck on the gondola,” with “help” written on a murky window on Snapchat. Livvy lightened the mood that has been plaguing her in Utah.

Livvy shared a video yesterday showing the light snowfall. Now, less than an hour’s drive from Park City, the LSU Tigers are getting ready for the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad meet amid severe weather. Dunne’s experience in Salt Lake City last year was quite different as opposed to this week in Utah.

Roughly a year ago, a sizable crowd of teen male fans, bellowing, “We want Livvy,” illustrated the gymnast’s swift ascent to prominence. Many gymnasts saw a throng of admirers outside the University of Utah shortly after the match, all anxiously awaiting pictures and social media following. Glancing at Dunne’s records so far, the gymnast’s pursuit of having the “best” year for LSU doesn’t seem far from reality.

Livvy’s season opening so far

Livvy was most excited about LSU’s season-opening meet in her senior year. And with a remarkable score of 196.975-196.775, the Tigers defeated Ohio State. The 21-year-old scored a perfect 9.875 on her debut floor routine. With five teams faceoffs throughout the busy week, the Tigers—who started the preseason rated third—faced tough competition.
