Simone Biles has been vocal about multiple significant issues in the past. The gymnast is famous for speaking her mind on issues to raise awareness. However, she faced backlash when she spoke up on a topic.

Biles was one of the forerunners who objected to the 108 abortion restrictions enacted across 19 states in the US last year. She was even vocal on social media platforms about the matter.

What does Simone Biles think of foster care and adoption?
People’s opinions varied on the matter, and the athlete soon faced backlash on social media platforms following her stance.
Biles has frequently defended topics that she feels are right. Therefore, the G.O.A.T. held her stance when harsh reactions began pouring in on the comment section of her social media accounts.

Among the people who reacted negatively to the athlete?s views, some pointed out that Biles? stance on the topic was not consistent with the adoption policies of the country. However, the seven-time Olympic medalist quickly replied to the lot with similar opinions on the gymnast.

“Foster care system is broken and it’s TOUGH. Especially on the kids and young adults who age out. And adoption is expensive ? I’m just saying,” continued the most decorated gymnast.
Moreover, she pointed out that the true intent behind her tweets and posts was to spread awareness. She added, ?What I did imply is that you should not control someone else’s body/decision,”

Biles said, “I have forever and will continue to support foster kids. AS I WAS ONE.”
Drawing from her experiences, the gymnast added, ?It’s hard going into the system with hardly anything, because even though foster parents may receive a stipend, sometimes it’s not enough to cover all the necessities.”

Biles’ childhood struggles led to her adoption
Biles had a troubled childhood when she and her three siblings lived with their single mother. As her mother fought addiction, the family struggled to make ends meet.
The athlete revealed during various interviews that the family struggled to put food on the table.

However, the children emerged from this dismal state when social services heard about their ordeal. Upon hearing about the children’s plight, they decided to act on it.

Child services, therefore, transferred the children to foster care. However, their grandparents found out about their grandchildren’s tribulations, and they decided to adopt Simone and her younger sister Adria. An aunt living in Ohio adopted Simone?s elder brothers, Ashley and Tevin.
