People sometimes like to introduce a little variety to their routine. They tend to deviate from their regimen once to explore different things life offers. It is not very different for athletes either. Some athletes try out various sports to break away from their routine. And Simone Biles tried a similar approach a few times in her life.
People mostly associate the two-time Olympian with gymnastics. But the gymnast has tried her hand in different sports during her career, albeit not professionally.

Simone Biles’ revealed how her father helped throw the perfect pitches
Biles has quite an illustrious career in gymnastics. She clinched seven Olympic medals, including four golds in a career spanning just two Olympic meets. However, that did not stop her from pursuing other sports. One of the most prominent among them was baseball.
The gymnast previously appeared at three Major League Baseball games to throw the first pitches. And although it was the ceremonial first pitch, she did a phenomenal job each time. The decorated athletes attended an interview sometime after her last first pitch to speak about her experience.

When the interviewer asked if she had to rehearse the moves, she said, “The flips were second nature, but throwing a ball afterward – I practiced that one or two times, just to make sure.”
However, reflecting on the events before the ceremony, she admitted to practicing her pitches at home. And she revealed that her father was her coach. Speaking about the father-daughter moments, the gymnast added, “My dad made me stand in the driveway with him and throw a ball back and forth, just to make sure I knew how.”
The details of all her first pitches
Biles’ first experience in the baseball diamond came on July 4, 2016. She did the honors at a Houston Astros home game against the Seattle Mariners.

She executed an aerial before delivering her debut pitch during her first appearance on the ball field. The gymnast got the chance again when she threw the first pitch in Cleveland on September 8, 2017. This time she performed a pirouette followed by a leap.
People observed the decorated gymnast delivering her third and latest one at the 2019 World Series during Game Two in Houston, Texas. However, she broke from her previous routines this time. She did not hold the baseball while performing the gymnastics move.

Sticking to what she does best, the athlete did a twisting backflip with a twist before. And her sister, Adria Biles, standing a few paces to her right, handed her the ball for the ceremony to commence.
