Since her Olympic gold medal-winning performance in the 2020 Tokyo Games, gymnast Suni Lee has raised her game to the top level. She was always the most talented and now she has perfected the sport as well. Here came another breathtaking performance by the Olympic champion Lee in the NCAA gymnastics regional final at Neville Arena.
While Simone Biles’ participation in the next Olympics is still under the curtain, team USA is a little relaxed since they have another champion gymnast on the team. Only time will tell if she can once again deliver on the big stage of the Olympics.

Suni Lee once again scored a perfect 10
Since a slight error on uneven bars led her points to drop in the previous event, Suni Lee came back with a perfect reply. She scored a perfect 10 on the balance beam this weekend. The crowd roared with cheers and claps after their favorite gymnast once again pulled something so difficult with utter ease. It appears that she has developed a habit of scoring the perfect 10.

Team Auburn, led by Lee, is competing against Florida, Kentucky, and Denver in the Sweet 16 of gymnastics. The two finalists will further move on to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.

Battling through the imposter syndrome
A couple of days ago, Suni Lee revealed she has been going through mental turmoil after her Tokyo Olympics victory. She said, “There’s just been so much doubt like, ‘Oh, she shouldn’t have won the Olympics, blah, blah, blah,’ and it really hits my soul.” While the entire world was cherishing her remarkable achievement, it clouded the champion with the feeling of not feeling worthy.

However, no matter what is bothering her from within, Lee has been mature enough to not let it affect her performance. She has been delivering consecutive brilliant performances for Auburn since the start of the season.
