Suni Lee is the rising star of gymnastics. After Simone Biles stepped down in Tokyo, it was Suni who rose to the occasion with a new zeal. Even though she had earlier confessed that elite sports had taken a toll on her, there was no doubt that she still loved the sport dearly.

Therefore, she came back even stronger. She joined college and there, bonded with her new team, her Auburn family. Within no time, she was leading the Auburn gymnastics team into the NCAA Championships. Under her leadership, the Auburn Tigers made it into the finals of the NCAA after many years. Notably, she also scored multiple perfect 10s at the meet, which clearly set her apart.

The video resurfacing online now dates back to a breathtaking moment in 2018 when Suni Lee was performing on the balance beam. As the audience watched with bated breath, Lee performed some tricky moves on the bar. However, on her landing, she falters.

But the then 15-year-old did not lose her balance and saved herself from a major fall. Lee, who was still very young then, displayed some amazing skills as she saved herself, sparking loud applause from those in attendance.

The audience was truly amazed by this save and as were the judges. For a moment, it sure looked like Lee was going to fall down on the mat.

But she wasn’t going to give in so easily. She struggled with her balance for a few seconds and finally regained it. The audience too heaved a sigh of relief. Definitely the “Save of the Day.”

Fans, too, were clearly shocked at the last minute save by the Olympic gymnast. They were in awe of the star, whose skills are on a different level altogether.

Undoubtedly, a save like that can only be pulled off by someone of her caliber. And while that is a thing of the past, with her back-to-back perfect scores in recent times, Suni has proved she is indeed the best in the business.
