Simone’s reply to her younger self’s magical moves
The American gymnastics star was just six years old when she first stepped on the mat; she officially started her training at eight. In her rewarding and significant career, Simone has appeared in two mega-quadrennial games. In both the outings, she played a pivotal role in creating awareness about the sport and its athletes’ life.
While in Rio she was fierce on the mat, in Tokyo she was daring off the mat. Simone backed off from the Olympic finals, citing mental health issues, prioritizing herself over Olympic glory.
