The heroics of Simone Biles in 2021 are known to all, especially as she paved the way for a cultural shift in the sporting world. Hence, safe to say, the 24-year-old had an exhausting yet extremely rewarding year.

From being crowned as one of the most decorated Olympic gymnasts to headlining iconic fashion events, Simone has been on the road for a while now, both literally and figuratively. However, with her Gold Over America tour soon ending in December, Simone wants to try her hands at the Winter Olympics sport, Snowboarding.
Holidays and Snowboarding- Simone Biles wants to live in the present
Since her second Olympic innings in Tokyo, Simone has been in the spotlight. Moreover, she also made her debut at the iconic fashion night, Met Gala, and even earned a spot in the Times 100 Most Influential people’s list; all while on her tour of 35 American cities. However, with the tour ending soon, Simone now wants to take some time out from her stardom.

In conversation with Popsugar, Simone discussed her plans for the future. Simone said, “The holidays, for sure. Relaxing, having that quality time with my friends, my family. I’m going on vacation with my family, too. Everybody’s always so rushed to know the next thing. It’s like, ‘Live in the now, embrace that before stuff gets picked back up.’ So we’ll definitely see.”?
Notably, the American star isn’t interested in pursuing any degree. She said, “I feel like I’m really only good at gymnastics and rallying my dogs.”?Although if one’s talking about a new hobby, Biles thinks snowboarding could be fun.
A look back at the GOAT’s career
Simone was just six when she first stepped on the mat. However, she hasn’t stopped wowing her audience ever since. In Tokyo this year, she clinched a record-breaking 7th medal Olympic medal. 5 of those 7 came in her maiden Olympic appearance, 4 of which were gold.

However, her second innings was not just about the Olympic podium; it was about ushering a new era in sports through her daring step to withdraw from the finals, citing mental health issues.
Thanks to Simone Biles, Olympic fans don’t just see mega games as a war for the gold medal, but also empathize with the athletes and respect their mental health now.
