Simone Biles is undoubtedly one of the best gymnasts the world has come across. And with good reason too! The Olympian already has four skills named after her. But where does Biles stand outside her comfort zone?
Last year, the Olympian addressed this very concern. And from the looks of it, Biles has been pondering this question for a while.

Simone Biles on the uncertainty of her identity
Before departing her country to compete at the Tokyo Olympics, the athlete attended a telephonic interview to offer some perspective on her life and regimen. However, during the interview, she also touched upon the topic of her identity and future.
She took this interview as an opportunity to raise concerns about her current state of mind. Moreover, Biles stated that she was at a point in life where she was unsure about where she stood.

Expressing her concerns about her future in the sport and life in general, the G.O.A.T. said, “It’s like, OK, get here and be done.”
“You want it to come, but you also don’t want it to end,” Biles added, indicating the predicament of her future in the sport.
However, that’s not all; the most decorated gymnast was also in a fix regarding where she stood in life. Although she was aware of her influence and role in the sport, she was still uncertain about her identity in life.
Speaking along these lines, the seven-time Olympic medalist said, “At the end of the day, I’m such a huge athlete, but who am I? If you take off that mask, you know, who will I be? I’m still trying to find that out.”
Will Biles come to terms with this challenge?

This was not the first time the athlete faced hardships in her life or career. She has had multiple encounters with adversities since childhood. But that does not define who she is as a person.
What defines her is her ability to rise above all of her troubles, personal and professional, and come out victorious. And not just victorious, but every time Biles has a run-in with any challenge, she has come out of it stronger than before.

Hence her strength lies in learning from her experiences and using them in life. Likewise, she should figure this one out in time as well.
