In a recent segment, Simone shared about her parents’ attitude towards her career. “They never force me… If I ever was like ‘Hey, I wanna quit,’ they’re like, ‘Cool. You’ll save me money. I’ll take you out right now.’”

Moreover, her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles were present even at Biles’ iconic first pitch before the World Series Game 2 in 2019. Afterward, Biles took to Twitter to comment on them doing their usual post-routine ritual at the game.

Biles has been very open about the fact that she was adopted, Ronald Biles being her maternal grandfather. Even after her withdrawal from multiple events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, their support never wavered.

“The main thing is to surround yourself with good people, mine being like family and friends that have really helped me through every single up and down that I’ve had. Whether that’s winning a World Championship all the way to like failing at the Olympic Games,” Biles said.

On her hiatus, Biles has focused largely on her relationships with those near and dear to her. She flew right home to her parents after Tokyo and has since been engaged to NFL player Jonathan Owens.
