One of Erie Otters’ finest ice hockey players, Elias Cohen got injured in a match versus North Bay Battalion. Due to this, Cohen couldn’t play for the rest of the match. The Erie Otters Hockey Club posted an update about this terrible incident on their Facebook page. Reacting to this update, thousands of fans expressed their concern.

The Erie Otters Hockey Club captioned this Facebook post, “Elias Cohen was hit into the boards early in the third period.”  So what happened in this thrilling match and how did Elias Cohen get injured? Read on to find out!

The exciting Erie Otters’ match and its unexpected conclusion for Elias Cohen

Scoring first due to Alexis Daviault’s amazing performance, Erie Otters had a good start. During the second part of the game, the Otters scored three goals. This gave them an advantage and the score was 4–1 at that moment. Elias Cohen was also playing well at this time. However, the tale ended a little differently for the Canadian.

Later, during the third period, North Bay Battalion player Alexander Lukin hit Cohen who had a bad fall. Post this, Cohen was rushed off to the nearest healthcare facility. Despite losing a player, Erie Otters didn’t lose heart, gave their 100%, and won the game. This, however, did not divert fans’ attention from Elias Cohen’s hard hit. Responding to Erie Otters Hockey Club’s post, fans worried reactions poured in, where many prayed for Cohen to get well soon.

A fan commented on this post, “Otters Nation is covering you in prayer Elias.” Echoing a similar opinion, another fan wrote, “Prayers for this young man” along with two emojis of hands joined in prayer. 

Afterwards, another fan wrote, “Thank you for this update. Cohen is currently my favorite player. Get healthy soon.”  A fan also expressed, “Hope and pray for a full recovery and back on the ice.” These responses indicate fans’ love for Cohen.

Another fan encouraged Cohen to “be strong” in this difficult situation. A fan also remarked, “Hopefully he will be okay. That was scary.”
