There is constant activity at the racetracks on race day. Before a big race, both the trainers and the riders spend as much time as possible with their horses. Opie Bosson was going to mount Imperatiz at Flemington Racecourse ahead of the G1 Black Caviar Lightning, so it was a hectic day for him. According to World Horse Racing’s X post, the rider couldn’t help but meet with the young fans in attendance before the race, despite the great pressure he was under.

The 43-year-old jockey, who is shown in an orange outfit, hurries over to take a photo with a little admirer. As they smiled and snapped the photo, the little admirer gave a thumbs up. After saying thank you,” the kid and the jockey parted ways. But additional spectators rushed to the rider just as he was ready to bolt to his horse. After taking a couple of pictures with his many admirers, the jockey gave a thumbs up and dashed off. This wholesome act by Bosson came just before he won the G1 event by taking everyone at the Flemington Racecourse by storm.
