After his retirement, he went to live with his father, Kitasan Black, a Japan Cup champion, at the Shadai Stallion Station. Since he is now free to experiment in other areas, Equinox is also growing in popularity after his retirement. Horse racing magazines were quick to highlight any success that Equinox had. The champion stallion has been elegantly featured on the cover of the famous Japanese magazine Gallops.

When it came to horse racing, Equinox was always unrivaled. No obstacle could stop the offspring of Kitasan Black from achieving triumph. While many fans of the horse were understandably moved by his retirement, they continued to make visits to the Shadai Stallion Station on occasion to see the stallion bask in his newfound freedom.

Recently, Graham Pavey on X posted about the horse’s new feat. In the caption of the post, he said, “EQUINOX on the cover of Gallops, not winning another Group 1, this time as a Sire!” Horse racing magazines have previously featured Equinox, but this one was special since it would be the first occurrence of the horse being off-track.

There are a lot of prospects out there, and the world won’t mind a new one. Everyone was hoping that Equinox, Kitasan Black’s offspring, would be a top-tier racehorse when he was born.
