The Kentucky-bred horse immediately took the attention of the horse racing world, and due to its recent feat, became a Dubai World Cup hopeful.

However, its journey to its G1 win also got attention from the fans out there.

Came all the way from the dirt of Kazakhstan

It all began with Kabirkhan’s maiden race victory, as it does for every horse. The Kentucky-bred, Kazakhstan-owned, and Russian-trained horse began its adventure in 2022 on a dirt track at Almaty Hippodrome in Almaty, Kazakhstan. According to World Horse Racing’s X post,in his first stint only, the horse galloped dominantly at Almaty to achieve his maiden win. In the video shared on X, after the horse’s mighty 2000m win, Kabirkhan’s transition to the contemporary world can be seen. It also features Kabirkhan at the Meydan Racecourse’s gate 11 as the colt is ready for his G1 challenge.

Keeping his speed and staying in the middle of the pack, Kabirkhan calmly raced until the very last bend. Nevertheless, the 4-year-old colt stunned everyone when he overtook the race leader from the inside of the track in the final quarter of the race. There was no horse on the field who could match the mighty pace of the colt, as he won the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge in a dominant fashion. With his victory, Kabirkhan continued his winning streak in the Middle Eastern horse racing scene. The equine will now look forward to the G1 Dubai World Cup, where his fans will be expecting a feast of a performance from him.
