The 67-year-old not only encourages his kids to learn and evolve but also imparts wisdom to the rest of the world. The billionaire and ex-wife Melinda are devoted parents to their children Rory, Phoebe, and Jennifer Gates. Jennifer, the eldest among all is a professional equestrian and has often seen receiving the most expensive gifts.

Jenn went to the prestigious Stanford University where she studied human biology from 2014-2018. Her passion for horses and horse riding compelled her to take a gap year to focus on her equestrian dreams. Jenn has previously mentioned taking up both medicine and equestrian dreams seriously while showing handwork to hone her skills. As a reward, Gates felicitated her with the most thoughtful gift on her big day. To celebrate her father and his immense support, Jenn expressed her thoughts on Father’s day.

Jenn posted a story on Instagram on 18 June, wishing her father with a picture of the two from her graduation day in May 2023. Jen graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in public health.  She was wearing the classic sky blue Columbian gown with the cap and the Ivy League university’s symbol in the front. Earlier the same day she also received the Excellence in General Public Health award. She captioned the Instagram story, “& a happy Father’s Day to you too! @thisisbillgates” along with a white heart emoji.

Gates was flaunting his billion-dollar smile beside his daughter at the ceremony. Wearing his blue blazer paired with matching pants and a crisp white shirt and specs. It was a proud moment for the attendee parents who watched her become a mother just two months back. Jenn has been vocal about her dreams and aspirations growing up with access to the best resources and facilities. Ever since he has made it a point to take interest in her passion and shower Jenn with immense support in her equestrian journey.

Bill gifted Jenn the property of her dreams after she graduated from Stanford in 2018. When she proposed continuing her studies and relocating to New York, Gates gifted a $15.82 million horse farm in the Westchester town of North Salem. The 124-acre property was undoubtedly a useful gift since she announced to take a gap year and get back in the saddle.

While fathers often exceed their child’s expectations to show their love, Bill Gates does the same thing in his own style. The billionaire sets aside a minuscule of his wealth to buy Jenn some farms to continue riding and showjumping. The Florida resident paid $37 million in 2013 to buy a five-acre horse property in Wellington, Florida. To further assist his daughter’s equestrian ambitions, Gates also purchased a full block in Wellington.
