The couple started dating in March 2020 and by the end of August that year, they made their relationship public. Now, after almost two years, finally came the news of their engagement, and fans can’t stop gushing over the adorable moment.

It was a picture-perfect moment as Jonathan Owens went down on his knees and popped the question, to which Simone had,?“THE EASIEST YES.” Further revealing her emotions on Instagram, she wrote, “I can?t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you?re everything I dreamed of and more! let?s get married FIANC? ???? @jowens_3.”

Jonathan revealed how he asked Simone Biles’ parents for permission

Jonathan revealed he had been planning the big proposal for a while, and it was not an instinctive decision. He said, “So it was a lot of planning. It probably took about two and a half months. I kinda started talking to the jeweler and in early December… started getting everything done.”

The tricky part was to ask Simone’s parents. Just like any other boyfriend, he didn’t have a clue about what had to be done. However, the nervous Jonathan still went ahead with the tough conversation.
