The long-distance foot race of America, The NYC Marathon, attracts more enthusiasts every year. People from all parts of the city gather at a specific venue to embark on a fruitful journey. Most marathon athletes are self-trained, whereas very few have received professional training. But this grand event is especially known to welcome non-athletic celebrities, who’ll be running free willed.

Former tennis player’s big move
The former Div 1 tennis player Elizabeth Laud landed up in the sidelines due to major setbacks. Though she bore a great penchant for running, her injuries didn’t let her. She said, “I’d run a lot, I would get hurt, I would rest. I would run, get hurt, rest, and I felt like I was kind of trapped in this cycle of repeated injuries and nothing was really making it go away.”
However, the Hospital of Special Surgery has motivated her to dream again. The advanced performance services provided by the Coach Kate include holistic training. In addition, the physical therapist, Dr. Goolsby, Asma, analysed her running program and set her up for classes. Now, with a firm mindset, Laud said, “To have 26 miles of people cheering is just insane, so I think that’s going to get me through the aches and pains that I’ll inevitably face.”
