Evidently, his autobiography reveals that his son Jaycee Chan loved the painting and wanted his father to keep it. Though he bought it accidentally, Chan showcased the picture and said, “I guess I was meant to have it. Many people have come to my house and seen this painting and told me it?s valuable, though I don?t know how much it?s worth exactly”. Without knowing the exact value, the martial artist wanted to get rid of it by selling it at a charitable auction. Eventually, his son Jaycee stopped him, and said, “Dad, I don?t want any of your money, just leave me that painting and that?s enough”. This startled the actor, as he could not understand the reason behind his refusal. Dubious, Chan wondered, “But wait, he doesn?t want my collection of bat-wing sunglasses?” Evidently, for his kid, the painting was worth more than his inherited fortune from his father.
