Back in Australia, he wanted to start fresh so took up two part-time jobs not to ” think about this [his dreams] stuff”. Chan was doing almost fine, getting back home with a weary body, where there was no scope to think of something else. Until “people in the action-films scene” reconnected with him and offered him a role. Definitely, he made up his mind about it and was about to leave the jobs he was doing when his boss from the restaurant gave Chan a wallet and gave him a beautiful message to look up to.

The soon-to-be actor wrote, “Before I left, my boss at the restaurant gave me a leather wallet with $10 in it. He said he hoped I?d earn lots of money and come back with a full wallet.” This was the best wish he received before dabbling with his dreams again. Although little did he know that he was about to become one of the greatest stars not only in Hong Kong but also in Hollywood.

Jackie still remembered in his book, how his father warned him while he was setting foot outside Australia again. His father said, “If you don?t make it within two years, you will move to Australia for good.? Fortunately, that didn’t happen and the kung fu artist got his break as a lead actor in New Fist and Fury. He then did Enter the Dragon, Police Story, Drunken Master, and so on. The saga continued.

After learning kung fu at a very young age, Chan surmised that he was not born to work as a cement pourer or a busboy. Definitely, he had some bigger destiny to fulfill. He eventually became a successful actor, producer, and director to make his parent happy and accomplish his dreams.
