Martial arts legend Jackie Chan has not had an easy childhood. At an early age, Chan was sent to the China Drama Academy, where he had to follow strict rules.

Once, the popular actor also revealed how he got a horrible punishment from his father where he was tossed in a garbage can.

Chan revealed how he had a girlfriend and he would always defend her when she faced any problems. Once, a neighbor bullied his girlfriend Sophie. Being a martial arts student, Chan hit the neighbor hard. Remembering the incident, Chan spoke about how the kid’s face and neck were covered with bruises. 

Though Chan was initially proud that he defended his girlfriend, he got a shock. Unfortunately, his father saw him beating the neighbor. “My father dashed over, grabbed me before I could do any more damage, and helped the other child to his feet”, Chan spoke.

While Chan victoriously said that he won, Chan also told that his father wasn’t pleased by his behavior. 

Chan then went on to reveal how his dad punished him. “Dad took off his belt and gave me a good lashing, then tossed me in the embassy’s garden shed.”

Later, Chan told how his father rebuked him. “I didn’t teach you martial arts so you could hurt other people”, his father spoke.

In an interview , the legendary actor made revelations about  how he was beaten up frequently at the China Drama Academy where his parents sent him. Chan also spoke about a terrible incident where a teacher beat him for dropping rice.

The martial arts champion told about how he had to learn without any breaks. Chan also said how any sickness wasn’t taken into consideration.
