Then in the 9th Inning of the night, Betts faced Craig Stammen when the Dodgers led 5-1. Betts hit the ball once again to the deep left field to score his second home run. Padres’ Jurickson Profar could just watch the ball go over his head and into the crowd. Betts took the score to 6-1 which eventually became the final score of the game.

After the game, Dodgers reporter Kirsten Watson conducted a post-match interview with Betts. During the interview, Betts said, “Tonight was super special. I’ve been grinding since Spring Training. Just to know I can do it, reassurance always helps. I’ve been working hard, a lot. It’s like a sigh of relief.”
