2017 will always be a year to be remembered as one of the darkest phases in Major League Baseball history. Especially the Yankees fans,  who still blame the Astros scandal for not letting them win the World Series. However, Aaron Judge doesn’t think the same way.

Not only the fans, even the New York Yankees general manager, Brian Cashman, still feel haunted by the 2017 sign-stealing scandal by the Houston Astros. Notably, back in 2017, Astros management had created a system by which they used to decode the unspoken cues of the opposition players in a live game.

And eventually, in that same season, they went on to win the World Series title, beating the New York Yankees in the ACLS. But the Yankees slugger believes they just couldn’t win the title, that’s it.

Recently, the Yankees GM, Brian Cashman, targeted the Astros for their cheating scandal in the 2017 season. And he blamed the Astors for their World Series title drought in the Bronx. Notably, after the 2009 season, the Yankees are yet to win any World Series.

But the Yankees slugger contradicted Cashman’s comments for the same. As reported by NY Daily News, Judge said that in his book the Yankees just didn’t win it.

“We just, we didn’t win, you know. In my book, we didn’t win so that doesn’t count in my book. We didn’t win so I can’t take credit for it,” Aaron Judge responded to the Yankees GM comment.

Notably, blaming the Astros for their own failure is just a mere excuse by the Yankees management. Because after the 2017 season, teams like Boston Red Sox and LA Dodgers, who also lost to the Astros in the playoffs, have managed to win at least a World Series title after that year.
