Recently, when asked about the Yankees GM, Brian Cashman, opened up about Judge’s extension. As per MLB.com, Cashman confirmed that the management intends to offer a new contract before the opening day.

“Like we said before, we were committed to the make an offer,” said Brian Cashman. “And here, when you get the same response, all that type of business will have taken place before opening day.”

Right from the start of free agency, Aaron Judge has been very clear on his stand. He already clearly said to the Yankees management that he will only discuss the contract before the opening day of the 2022 season. And the Yankees GM confirmed the same to MLB.com. “The two parties are involved in this. And obviously, Aaron has spoken that he wants that part of things to end before opening day. So I can assure you, that all those conversations will have taken place before opening day,” Cashman said.

Given that the opening day is just 4 days away if the Yankees pull off Judge’s extension, it won’t be less than a miracle.
