After a dull free agency in the 2022 off-season, everyone doubted the New York Yankees. But here they are. After a blazing start against their arch-rival Boston Red Sox, the Yankees have been playing on a whole different level this season. With players like Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton, The Bronx Bombers have become a force to reckon with.

Given that the Yankees did not make any notable signings in the 2022 free agency, perhaps no one saw the Pinstripes becoming a hell of the team. Under the leadership of Aaron Judge, the Yankees are on a seven-game winning streak.
Thanks to the management, who trusted their players and did not go for the big names in the free agency. Had the Yankees gone for the players like Freddie Freeman and Carlos Correa, players like Anthony Rizzo and Joey Gallo would have got enough chances in the lineup. And here we are. Rizzo is smashing a homer probably in every game and has become a crucial part of the Yankees squad.

Anthony Rizzo has blasted nine home runs this season
With their recent win over the Kansas City Royals, the Yankees have started another series with a win. And if they win the next game, the Yankees will also win the series against the Royals. In the last game, Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gleyber Torres all hammered a home run to ensure the Yankees continued their winning streak in MLB.

Recently, while talking about his form and the Yankees’ winning streak, Rizzo said that it’s the result of focus and preparation. He also said that as the season gets going, they will flow accordingly.

“We go innings where we do not score runs but we just know at all times when there are big numbers on the way… I think it is just the work, focus, and preparation as far as getting ready to play a game. And I think as the season goes along, it is just getting to have a flow of the season. I think everyone is doing that and settling it nicely…” Rizzo said to YES Network.
