Now, with Luke Jackson’s injury, the Braves will be without their star reliever on the opening day of the 2022 MLB season. However, their rooster is still strong enough to fight for the title.

Atlanta Braves reliever Luke Jackson has damaged his UCL ahead of the regular season

UCL i.e., Ulnar Collateral Ligament, is one of the most common and complicated injuries that happen to a baseball pitcher. This is the same injury that often results in a Tommy John surgery. And with such types of injuries, a player usually misses an entire season. And the same is likely to happen with the Braves pitcher. Even if he manages to recover in a quick time, it will take him at least a year.

Taking to Twitter, the Atlanta Braves informed about Jackson’s injury on Saturday. As per the Braves’ official statement, right-handed pitcher Luke Jackson went through an MRI scan. And the test revealed damage to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right arm. And he is currently under a comprehensive evaluation.
