Ever since the free agency has reopened, the Chicago Cubs made some headlines for the rumors around the new signing. But this time, the Cubs have surprised every baseball fan, as they have signed free agent Seiya Suzuki on a five-year deal.

Notably, earlier this week, the Cubs were also rumored to sign the star free agent, Carlos Correa. But after making some noise, now there is no news about Correa. And instead of waiting for the Correa deal, the Cubs have now sealed the Seiya Suzuki deal.
