Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez wishes Miguel Cabrera on achievement

A-Rod took to his personal Instagram to wish the Detroit Tigers star on his accomplishment. Posting a graphic of the top 5 MLB players with 3000 hits, Rodriguez seemed glad to feature on the list but was happiest about his compatriot getting the mark against his name.

Posting a story, A-Rod congratulated Cabrera. Wrote A-Rod, “Congrats to my brother Miguel Cabrera on joining the 3k hit club. One of the best hitters ever.”

And while the acknowledgment of his achievement rang from all quarters, what was more heartwarming to see was the acknowledgment of Cabrera as a great person too. And A-Rod didn’t miss a beat acknowledging that. He wrote, “A joy to compete with and watch on the field.”

Miguel Cabrera’s praise will continue through most of the day today, and deservedly so. But he has always been a team man and his attention will now likely turn to capture the pennant with the Detroit Tigers.
