According to Forbes’ list of the most valuable MLB teams in 2022, the New York Yankees are worth a total of $6 billion, a 14% hike from their last year’s valuation. While the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox are worth $4 billion and $3.9 billion, respectively.

Among all teams, only the Yankees have touched the $6 billion mark, while the rest are below the $4 billion mark, except the Dodgers ($4.075 billion).

Also, as per this list by Forbes, the most surprising name is the Houston Astros’. Despite their recent success on the field, they are not even in the top 10 most valuable MLB franchises. While other mid-table teams like New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, and San Francisco Giants managed to get a spot on the list.

The current World Series winner, Atlanta Braves, also struggled to make the top-10 list. With a $2.1 billion valuation, the Braves are the 10th most valued MLB team in 2022.
