Los Angeles Rams on Sunday made history and won their second Super Bowl title by defeating Cincinnati Bengals. With this win, the Rams ended the Super Bowl Title drought of over 20 years. The last time they won was in the 2000 season when the Rams beat Tennessee Titans to lift their first-ever Super Bowl title.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw was also at the SoFi Stadium to support his former teammate Matthew Stafford. Yes, many people might not know, but Kershaw and Stafford played the same sport during their high school days.

And to support his childhood friend, Clayton Kershaw was in the stands at the Super Bowl match between LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals.

Many athletes have experience of playing several sports at a non-professional level before turning pro. Sporting greats like Bo Jackson, Tim Tebow, Drew Henson are few to name who have played both baseball and football. Even NFL legend Tom Brady has started his sporting career in baseball and later switched to football.

And the most recent name is Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams who used to play baseball when he was younger. What is more interesting is that both Kershaw and Stafford were teammates during their high school days.

Just like Kershaw, Stafford was also strong with his arm in baseball. And sometimes he used to beat Kershaw in pitching contests in their school days. As per Dodgers Nation, both of them grew up together in Texas and even played football for the same team at Highland Park School.

While talking to Dan Patrick, Kershaw revealed Stafford used to dominate him in the softball throw. And said he always had a great arm.

“We did track meets in elementary school and instead of the shot put, we did the softball throw. In the softball throw, he just dominated that too. He’s always had a great arm,” said Kershaw.

Currently, Clayton Kershaw is a free agent in the MLB market, and because of the ongoing lockout, he is yet to join any team.
