Players getting injured is not a big deal in any sport. But the timing of this injury has left the New York Mets in a very big problem. Because the regular season of MLB 2022 is less than a week away from its start. And the Mets are yet to find any replacement for their starting pitcher.

Meanwhile, when everything is going against the New York Mets, a former MLB pitcher has weighed his opinion on Jacob deGrom’s injury. And as per him, this shoulder injury should not be a big deal for the Mets pitcher.

Former MLB pitcher Brandon McCarthy says the Mets star Jacob deGrom will be just fine

Earlier on Saturday, following an MRI test, the New York Mets revealed that deGrom has stress in his right scapula. And he will not be able to pitch for at least four weeks. While the Mets didn’t mention the timing of deGrom’s return to the ballpark.

But former MLB pitcher Brandon McCarthy – who also had the same injury in his playing days – said that the injury is not as big as it seems. And he will be fine in no time.

“Since this injury technically should be named after me, I can say that this really isn’t a big deal.  Not as big as it seems. He’ll be just fine,” tweeted McCarthy.

Responding to McCarthy’s tweet, a user objected to his claims by saying this injury can lead to bigger issues. And on top of that, the Mets’ support staff also lacks in taking care of their players. But McCarthy confirmed that he had the same injury five times.
