Former MLB Star Cameron Maybin took to Twitter to announce what he thought would be the best for for superstar shortstop Carlos Correa. And while several teams are still in the race for the player; fans of the pinstripes should be the happiest bunch if Correa decides to take Maybin’s advice. But with the race to sign Correa still ongoing, nothing can be said for certain.

The only factor that can potentially stand to balk the transfer could be their asking price. With Correa looking for a long-term deal and the Yankees are housing several prospects; this could be a long-term call that the Bronx Bombers will need to undertake.

Carlos Correa to the Yankees?

Carlos Correa is the belle of the ball at the moment. With the conclusion of the lockout and the resumption of the off-season, the superstar’s free agency seems to be all that teams can talk about. And with the signing almost in touching distance, fans will be excited to get it going too. And if Maybin is to be consulted, perhaps the Bronx Bombers offer the best fit for Correa.

As an athlete, you want to perform at the highest level to prove yourself to be the best. And with Correa fast entering his prime, he would be more than aware of the stage that the New York Yankees offer him. And Maybin took to pointing out that exact fact. Said Maybin, “He really is built for the biggest stage and what bigger stage than the boogie down baby!”, possibly referring to Yankee Stadium.

Maybin, though, seems to believe that Correa can easily handle any such pressure. Said Maybin, If anyone could handle the extra weight the pinstripes carry its Carlos Correa, even tagging the player in his tweet.
