With the regular season starting in a week, MLB fans are all busy preparing for the fireworks awaiting in the ballparks. Notably, legendary MLB player Albert Pujols is making his comeback to the St. Louis Cardinals after a gap of 10 years and his return has only added to the excitement and intensity of the 2022 season.

Undoubtedly, there couldn’t be better news than this for the Cardinals’ fans. But more than fans, after Pujols’ homecoming, his former teammate, Yadier Molina, seems to be more elated. Notably, the duo had played together for a long time for the Cardinals.

In fact, recently, he even admitted that it is going to be a fun year alongside his brother.

Both Pujols and Molina share a great bond between them. The two had played for over ten years together at the Cardinals. And once again, after Pujols’ one-year contract with the Cardinals, the duo is set to reunite.

Talking to MLB.com, Molina confirmed that Pujols is happy to be at the Cardinals after so many years. “‘What he means, what he brings to the clubhouse is great,” said Yadier Molina. “Me, Albert, we have a relationship like a brother. I’m happy for him to be here… I don’t know how they are going to use him…”

With Pujols by his side, Molina admitted that the Cardinals have only one thing on their mind, which is winning another championship. “And I’m glad that it happened,” added Molina. “He is happy to be here. Like, I said before. We got only one thing in mind which is winning another championship together.”

Now, after his homecoming, Albert Pujols is all set to play in his comeback game against the Washington Nationals in a spring training game. Taking to Twitter, the Cardinals confirmed Pujols’ name in the line-up.

To watch both Pujols and Molina playing together will be nostalgic for the Cardinals fans. Most certainly, witnessing the two greats together on the same side will be a sight for sore eyes.
