“He’s the Real Deal”- Nolan Arenado Praises Legendary Albert Pujols After Securing Home Runs With Him

Albert Pujols signed once again with the St. Louis Cardinals on March 28th, 2022. Pujols scored his first home run of the MLB 2022 season on April 12th, 2022, when the Cardinals faced the Kansas City Royals at the Busch Stadium, Missouri. This season will be the last season for Albert Pujols in the MLB.

The St. Louis Cardinals have shown some muscle in the last few games as they currently lead the NL Central Division. Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, was quite special for the Cardinals as their superstar first baseman Albert Pujols scored his first home run of the MLB 2022 season, which will be his final MLB season.

But before his home run, third baseman Nolan Arenado scored a 2-run home run. Arenado is a long-time superfan of Pujols and this moment was priceless to him.

Fanboy moment for St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado

31-year-old Nolan Arenado was overwhelmed after Tuesday’s game as he scored back-to-back home runs with his idol, Albert Pujols. In the 1st Inning, Arenado scored a 2-run home run, and right after him, Pujols scored a solo home run. Pujols’ home run was also his 680th career home run, and he is now only 20 home runs away from the achievement of 700 career home runs.

Now recently, Nolan Arenado attended an interview at Intentional Talk hosted by Kevin Millar and Stephen Nelson. The host asked Arenado about his feeling after hitting home runs with his idol.

He said, “One of the better moments I’ve ever had. That guy (Albert Pujols) hit behind me. It’s pretty cool. We had a great time that day. It is surreal. At the moment, it’s hard to sit back and realize it, but I think down the road when I’m done playing, it will be one of the top moments, for sure.”

A press conference clip went viral of Nolan Arenado, wherein he talked about playing alongside Albert Pujols before he retires. And now, here he is, hitting home runs with Pujols. That is one strong game of manifestation. Albert Pujols previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals from 2001 to 2011.

He then signed with the Los Angeles Angels and played for them from 2012 to 2021. Pujols joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021, and now, after 12 years, Albert Pujols is back home, playing in his final MLB season, as a St. Louis Cardinal.
