How Does The LA Dodgers Lineup Look Like After Freddie Freeman Signing?

The LA Dodgers may well be the team to beat come the 2022 season. Already housing some of the league’s premier talent, the Dodgers have only added in the off-season. With an already formidable line-up boasting Mookie Betts and Trea Turner, the addition of lefty hitter, Freddie Freeman, could be just what the Dodgers need to establish themselves as a legitimate title contender in 2022.
The LA Dodgers were already an established and legitimate challenger in their division. With a 106 win season in the NL in 2021, they were certainly no pushovers then either. And with their free agency now lending them Freddie Freeman at first base, the reinforcements are stark.

While Freeman adds a fair bit defensively, his offensive contributions cannot be ignored. Suffice it to say, pitching to this lineup might well be a task in itself, come Opening Day.
Formidable line-up
The LA Dodgers could potentially have a tremendous lineup to start the year. Provided, of course, they can stay fit for the days to come. But in a situation where availability reigns supreme and the Dodgers have all their first-choice players available, the reality of their hitting ability is truly a lineup to fear. And the addition of Freddie Freeman only makes the line-up that much scarier come 2022.

The featured potential lineup sees Mookie Betts starting the proceedings with the bat, with Trea Turner, Max Muncy, and Justin Turner to follow. And with the addition of Freddie Freeman too, this could see the 1st baseman feature in their top 3. And if a pitcher manages to get through the top 5 without taking too much of a hit, there’s always Cody Bellinger to make contact with some pitches and to get things going.

ESPN’s Buster Olney ranked the LA Dodgers at #2 on his list of top teams this season and that was prior to even the Freddie Freeman signing. Bringing on the lefty hitter surely adds to their all-round ability and may even place them as square favorites to take it all home this season.
Despite losing out on both top pitcher Max Scherzer and Shortstop prospect Corey Seager in free agency earlier on in the trade window, the Dodgers seem to have strengthened well.
