Recently, on Friday, the MLB Players’ Association rejected the owners’ request to include a Federal Mediator for any further negotiation. The proposal to include mediation came after the owners refused to offer a counterproposal to the players’ association. However, MLB Players are still clear on their stand as they do not want to bring any third party between the negotiation.
“The clearest path to a fair and timely agreement is to get back to the table. Players stand ready to negotiate,” said the statement from the MLBPA.
