The 2022 season of Major League Baseball is yet to start, but the New York Mets are already looking like one of the best sides this year. And how can they not? Unlike the last season, with the inclusion of Max Scherzer, the Mets have got two superstar pitchers on their roster for 2022.
With Jacob deGrom as a starter, followed by MLB veteran Max Scherzer, the Mets have got a scary duo on the mound. After signing a pricey deal with the Mets, Scherzer is all set to play the 2022 season as a Mets player.

In a recent spring training game against St. Louis Cardinals, the Mets pitching duo, Jacob deGrom, and Max Scherzer played together for the first time.
Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer run riot against the Cardinals
When the New York Mets signed Max Scherzer during the free agency before the lockout, the biggest concern for the Mets manager was who will start first between deGrom and Scherzer. However, the veteran pitcher himself made it clear that he doesn’t have any problem with deGrom pitching first.
And the same happened in the spring training game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Jacob deGrom pitched in the first three innings, while Scherzer fired the next six. Though the result of spring training games does not matter much, the Mets pitchers dominated the entire game and ended up winning the game 7-3.
