New York Mets are running riots in Major League Baseball. Although the league is still in its initial stage, the Mets have emerged as the surprise package in 2022. Given the strength of their squad and experienced coaching staff, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez weighed his opinion on the Mets’ future.
Notably, ever since business tycoon Steve Cohen has taken ownership of the New York Mets, the Mets look like a completely different team than the last season. After the 2021 season, the first thing Cohen did, was to hire Buck Showalter as the Mets’ manager. And later in the free agency, the Mets made some notable signings.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez predicts the Mets to win two World Series in the next decade
The New York Mets have probably the most improved team from the last season, but that does not mean they will have their hands on the silverware so easily. The Mets are still a very inexperienced franchise in MLB. However, with the backing of a billionaire owner, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez believes that they might end up winning a couple of World Series in the next ten years.
Talking to sportscaster Michael Kay, A-Rod opined that the Mets’ R&D department is more like a hedge fund. “I think the Mets, look, they are on a honeymoon,” A-Rod said. “They are spending a lot of money. Here is what I like about the Mets are doing. They are a hybrid of analytics and old school… The R&D department, that looks more like a hedge fund than a Major League front office. So that’s great, good job there.”
