Miguel Cabrera is probably the most unlucky player in Major League Baseball. Having 2999 hits already on his name, Cabrera’s wait for the record 3000th hit continues. First, the Yankees intentionally walked him in the third and final game of the series to deny him the 3000th hit. And now it seems like even nature does not want him to complete his record achievement.

Notably, the Detroit Tigers have not been playing their best baseball lately, while Cabrera is also struggling this season. No doubt he is one of the best players in the history of MLB, but his recent performances have been average for the Tigers.

Despite his poor form, if Cabrera manages to complete his 3000 hits in Major League Baseball on Saturday, he will have various records in his name.

Miguel Cabrera will break multiple records after his 3000th hit

Henry Aaron, Albert Pujols, and Willie Mays are some of the greatest players ever to play the game of baseball. And after his 3000th hit, Miguel Cabrera will also have his name registered along with these legendary MLB players. Though he is already an MLB legend, the Tigers slugger will have multiple records in his name after his 3000th hit.

Taking to Twitter, MLB analyst Alex Avila shared a tweet, in which he mentioned all the records Cabrera is about to break. As per the tweet, Cabrera will become only the sixth MLB player to have 3000 hits and 500 homers. Before him, only Henry Aaron, Willie Mays, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, and Rafael Palmeiro have been able to do so.

Cabrera will also become only the third player to have 3000 hits and 500 home runs with an average of .300. While he will become the first-ever player to have 3000 hits and 500 home runs with a triple crown.
