New York Yankees are inarguably the most successful team in Major League Baseball. There is no doubt about that. However, they have not been the same in the past few years. Known for winning the World Series for fun, the Yankees have been trophyless since their World Series win in the 2009 season.
Not only the World Series, but the Yankees have even failed to capitalize on weaker teams in Major League Baseball. As the records say, they have struggled to win even against a woeful side, the Baltimore Orioles.

Given the records, the Yankees are probably the only MLB side who have struggled to win against the Baltimore Orioles. Not to forget that the other division members, on the other hand, have taken full advantage of the Orioles.

Notably, the Yankees are going through a rough phase. However, if they continue to lose against a below-average side like the Orioles, things will only get difficult for them. Despite having a not-so-good squad, the Yankees kicked off the 2022 MLB campaign with an emphatic win over the Boston Red Sox. But, once again, the Pinstripes failed to win against the Orioles this season.
On the other hand, the Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, and even the Tampa Bay Rays have been smashing the Orioles for the past couple of years. As per ace MLB insider Bob Nightengale, the Yankees have the worst record against the Baltimore Orioles since September 2020 compared to the other division members.

The Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Rays have smacked the orioles for 53-15. The Yankees, on the other hand, have the worst record, only 16-13 against the Orioles. Notably, the Yankees have lost two of the three games they have played against the Orioles on Saturday and Sunday. Though the Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is still confident for the rest of the season. He said, “Can’t sit here and mope about it.”
