Knowing that the regular season started late from its usual schedule, almost every baseball player missed playing games for a while. And now, when they have got the season up and running, no player wants to miss a single league game for their team.

The same goes for the Yankees superstar Aaron Judge. However, unlike other Yankees players, Judge missed a game on Friday against the Baltimore Orioles. And that too on the Jackie Robinson day.

The Yankees’ manager rested Aaron Judge against the Baltimore Orioles

The 2022 season has just started, and there are still more than 150 games to play for every team. Given Judge’s massive role, no manager would want their key player to get tired. That was the major reason Judge didn’t play the Friday game against the Orioles.

Reports suggest that the Yankees manager, Aaron Boone, wanted Judge to have a rest day on Friday. As he believed it was a perfect day for a day-off for him. But the Yankees star wanted to play against the Orioles, especially on such a special day.

“He was still working on me (Friday afternoon) wanting to get in there. But I just feel like today was a good day to have him off,” said Aaron Boone. Notably, the Yankees have been playing for ten days continuously. And Boone wants his best players to have their much-needed rest.
